Childrens Ministry

First Congregational Church of Claridon is dedicated to making a lasting impact on our children and youth, through our Sunday school classes, our community summer Vacation Bible School, confirmation classes for young people, and seasonal special family events.

Food Collection

Throughout the year folks bring in non-perishable goods and paper products as needed by our local food pantries. We have baskets in the foyer to receive donations. Before the Super Bowl we annually hold a "Soup-er" Bowl drive, bringing in cans of soup.

Winter Clothing Gifts

Christmas Hat, Mitten and Glove Collection

Annually we have a Hat, Mitten and Glove drive to benefit recipients in our community through Geauga Jobs and Family Services. This year, over 150 items were donated to be given with their winter coat drive.

Thanksgiving & Christmas Families

Each year we are given the names of one or two families in financial need from Geauga Jobs and Family Services. We bring in donations of ingredients for their Thanksgiving dinner. We also have a small tree in the church foyer with their wish list items, to provide them with Christmas gifts.
